Dholera SIR?
Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) is a planned city located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is being developed as a part of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project, which aims to create a world-class industrial and investment region in the western part of India. The Dholera SIR is being planned to have an area of about 920 square kilometers. It will be developed as a smart city, with world-class infrastructure and facilities, including transportation, housing, education, healthcare, and recreation.

Spanning approximately 920 sq km, encompassing 22 villages Of the Dholera Taluka in the District Of Ahmedabad, is envisaged to be bigger than the city Of Ahmedabad. It is strategically located between the industrial cities Of Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
Dholera Industrial City will have its own self-sustaining ecosystem consisting Of economic drivers through industrialisation, utility & logistic infrastructure, Social Infrastructure including education, healthcare and Other public amenities.
DMICDC, with the support Of the Government Of Gujarat, plans to create an economically and socially balanced new-age city with world- class infrastructure and highest quality-of-life standards with sustainability in the urban form including a sustainable urban transportation system.

Highlights
- DSIR, under Town Planning Schemes 1 to 6, covers an area of 422 sq km. Phase I covers 153 sq km of TP1 and TP2.
- Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) Construction in an area of 2250 ha has been initiated for industrial and residential zones.
- DSIR is strategically located between industrial cities of Baroda, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
- DSIR is also connected to Delhi and Mumbai via NH8 & DMIC
- DSIR provides access to both the domestic and international markets and land parcels can be combined to get a contiguous area
Road Connectivity
- Currently, two lane State Highway being expanded to 4 lanes
- A dedicated 6 lane access controlled expressway connecting Ahmedabad & Dholera is under implementation. It will be 250m wide in entire Dholera SIR.
- Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, which is connecting Dholera to Delhi and Mumbai. DMIC 10 lane expressway is already completed more then 70%.
Rail Connectivity
- MRTS is planned which will connect DSIR with Ahmedabad. Land already acquired.
- Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) is connecting from DSIR
- Dholera Logistic Park Railway Station proposed in DSIR
Sea Connectivity
- World’s first CNG port is coming in Bhavnagar
- The government has given its sanction to the Rs 1,900 crore brownfield project.
- The project will be developed jointly by UK-headquartered Foresight Group, Mumbai-based Padmanabh Mafatlal Group and a Netherland-based consortium
- The proposed CNG port terminal will have a capacity of 1.5 million metric tonnes per annum
- Pipavav is the closest port to DSIR, which is approximately 200 km away
- Pipavav has a range of cargo handling capabilities such as Container, Bulk, Capital Goods, Liquid, Gas, etc.
- DSIR is also well connected to the major ports of Mundra and Kandla
